Man Charged In Longview Animal Cruelty

A Longview man is charged in a case of animal cruelty to horses. 35-year-old John David Graham was charged with three counts of cruelty to animals yesterday. Police say Graham kept several horses on an oil lease property off Gregg-Tex road. Animal control officers rescued three of them that showed signs of extreme malnutrition.

Their hair was falling out and they were grossly underweight. Safe Haven Farms say the animals will need six months of care to get them in good health.

Graham is out of jail tonight after posting bond.
