Former Nurse Who Killed 29 Patients Given Another Life Sentence

A killer nurse is back in court today.

Charles Cullen was sentenced last week to eleven consecutive life terms for killing 22 patients in New Jersey. Today he's being sentenced for killing seven nursing home and hospital patients in Pennsylvania.

A judge today added another life sentence for the death of a retired Bethlehem steel worker in 1998. At the sentencing, the judge criticized hospitals for not warning each other of suspicions when Cullen switched jobs.

Cullen didn't attend that court hearing, but is required to attend his sentencing in Lehigh (LEE'-hy) County. Relatives of patients he killed are attending.
