COPY-Joint chiefs chairman promises a review of all the facts in Tillman's death

WASHINGTON Joint Chiefs chairman Peter Pace is promising Pat Tillman's family a full probe into the former football star's death in Afghanistan.

A Pentagon official had told The Associated Press yesterday that a criminal investigation would focus on possible charges of negligent homicide.Tillman was an Army Ranger shot by fellow soldiers in 2004. Previous military reviews had concluded it was an accident.General Peter Pace said today on N-B-C and Fox that the investigation comes after the Pentagon's inspector general determined another step needed to be taken.Tillman's family has criticized the Army for how it has handled questions about his death.
