Press Conference In Longview Addresses High School Security

Creating better security for school kids was the focus of Longview ISD Administration Meeting, Friday. At a press conference, Dr. Dana Marable and the high school principal announced they are taking new security changes in wake of recent on-campus violence.
"We start in the morning time we're locking all of our outside doors when the bell rings at 8:13 , we lock all of our doors except for the ones by our attendants office" said Longview High School Principal Milton Wallace.
"We have new golf carts for security, and we have a parking monitor that drives around in our parking lots all the time" said Marable.
Marable says the press conference may become a regular event to pass information on to the public and to parents.
