Henderson Man Turns 107

An East Texas man, who's lived during three different centuries, only wanted to celebrate his 107th birthday at one place.

That's Hazel's restaurant in Henderson.

Clifford Hughes was treated to a party today during breakfast by his family and friends. He's lived in Henderson for more than 30 years, and Hazel's is where he likes to go every year on his birthday.

Cliff has led a busy life, he's a former pilot, blacksmith, auto mechanic, city councilman and square dance teacher.

Cliff says he's not sure if there's a secret to a long life.

"I feel pretty good I'm not up to par but I'll do, Idon't know how I've lived so long. I have no idea. You gotta be tough though," says Hughes.

Cliff still looks forward to breakfast every day, and wants to do something special for his 110th birthday.
