Gorman Player Signs With Baylor

It was a big day at TK Gorman High School as yet another Crusader joins the Division I ranks to play college football. Patrick Swindle signed on the dotted line to become a Baylor Bear. Swindle played running back and safety for Gorman. The name may sound familiar. Patrick is the son of Tyler police chief Gary Swindle. Patrick talked about choosing to play for the Bears.

"It's a really good division I program that's really on the up and up," said Swindle. "They've been really going up. Their records have slightly been improving the past few years, so it's really exciting for them and it's really exciting for me to get to go to a Division I program."

Swindle says he plans to major in finance, and hopes to play safety for the Bears.
