A wood-burning stove is believed to be the cause of a house fire that killed a Harrison County man.
It was called in around 8:00 p.m. last night at a home in the 9700 block of Red Oak Road -- that's south of Interstate 20 near Hallsville.
The Fire Marshal says 66-year-old Petrolia Webbington had just returned home from the hospital, and his physical condition prevented him from getting out. No smoke detectors were found in the home.
Firefighters from three departments worked to put out the fire. No one else was hurt.
