Thousands Pay Tribute To Coretta Scott King

A host of prominent figures are expected to attend the funeral of Coretta Scott King in suburban Atlanta today.

President Bush and former President Clinton will lead the list of dignitaries who will bid a final farewell to the woman often referred to as the "first lady of the civil rights movement. The service will be held at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church where the Kings' youngest child, Bernice, is a minister. She is scheduled to deliver her mother's eulogy.

On Monday, more than 46,000 people lined up for a mile outside Atlanta's Ebenezer Baptist Church, waiting for hours in freezing rain for a moment to bid farewell to the widow of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Flags at federal facilities will fly at half-staff today in her honor. Coretta Scott King died last week at the age of 78.
