36-Year-Old Judge To Represent Eastern District Of Texas

An East Texas man is chosen from a nationwide search, to become a U.S. magistrate judge for the eastern district of Texas. "It's a great honor to serve with the judges of the eastern district. It's also a great honor to serve my country and to affect people's lives so it means a lot to me," says Judge Love. He celebrated Friday afternoon, moments after taking the oath of office. Prior to this, Love clerked for U.S. District Judge Leonard Davis. Colleagues say Love is honest, smart and has good judgement of how to apply the laws. He succeeds longtime Judge Harry McKee who retired at the end of the year.
