Cattle Barons' Entertainer Announced

This year's entertainer for the 2006 Tyler Cattle Barons' Gala has just been announced. It is country singer/songwriter Darryl Worley.

He has five number one hits including "Have You Forgotten" which was released after the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the Iraq war began. Darryl's other country hits include: "Awful Beautiful Life," "I Miss My Friend," "If Something Should Happen" and "Tennessee River Run."

This year's Gala chairs, Rebecca Ballard and Laurie Ann Frank, are very excited about Darryl's performance. "I think people will really enjoy him. He's got great stage presence and we've heard nothing but good about him," said Rebecca.

Laurie Ann adds, "He was nominated for the "Horizon Award" in 2002 and in 2003 he was nominated for "Male Vocalist of the Year" and he performs quit frequently at the White House for President Bush. He has also performed for our troops."

This year's Tyler Cattle Barons, "How The West Was Won," is June 10 at the Gary Woodring Ranch in Bullard. It benefits the American Cancer Society. For more information call 903-597-1348.
