Randall Thompson turned in his letter of resignation less than a week after he was arrested by the FBI. Thompson is accused of possession and distribution of pseudoephedrine, a chemical used to make methamphetamine. Testimony in court Tuesday revealed his alleged drug deals were caught on tape and included multiple death threats. Thompson was Precinct 3 Constable for Cherokee County. The resignation letter must still go before Commissioner's Court for approval.
