Cowboys Lose Sean Payton To New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (AP) _ The New Orleans Saints reportedly will hire Dallas Cowboys assistant Sean Payton to his first NFL head coaching job. A team official familiar with the decision told The Associated Press that a formal announcement is expected tomorrow. Payton has been a quarterbacks coach for three seasons under Cowboys coach Bill Parcells. Payton also held the title of assistant head coach. Before that, he was a New York Giants assistant, a stint that included that team's NFC Championship in 2000. Payton will succeed Jim Haslett, who was fired after six years of leading the Saints. New Orleans went 3-13 last year in a Hurricane Katrina-displaced season that forced the Saints to call San Antonio home. The Times-Picayune of New Orleans first reported Payton's hiring.

That has everything to do with the year Dak had and more importantly the way that Dak is app...More >>
