Burglars Behind Bars

Two men suspected in a string of burglaries are behind bars tonight. 22 year old's Randall Looney and Danny McRoy were arrested last Friday by Smith County constables. Looney is charged with five counts of residential burglaries. McRoy is charged with four. These are just some of the items stolen during a Thursday morning break-in at two homes in a Smith County subdivision. Police have already recovered more than ten-thousand dollars worth of items the pair allegedly stole, and say there could be even more.

Constable Dennis Taylor says, "We don't think this is all they've been doing. What they admitted to, was what we had on them. When we started recovering stolen property, everything we recovered, they gave statements to, so we're still investigating.

Police believe the men sold some of the stolen items to pay for drugs.
