Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito is undergoing a final day of Senate grilling today.Two previous days of sometimes contentious questioning have apparently not dimmed his prospects of being confirmed by the full Senate. Democrats, though, have not ruled out the possibility of a filibuster, fearing he could help overturn abortion rights. The Republican majority regards him as well suited for the job. Meantime, Senate Judiciary Committee Democrat Joseph Biden says he thinks confirmation hearings have become a waste of time. He told N-B-C's "Today" show that nomineess from both parties refuse to be pinned down on the issues.
