Teenager Injured In A Three-Car Fatal Accident Improving

One of those injured in yesterday's fatal accident in Van Zandt County is doing better. 17-year-old Raheel Sundrani is now in fair condition at a local hospital. He was riding with his family and friends yesterday afternoon on I-20 when witnesses say a passenger in a passing minivan began shouting at them. Witnesses say it appeared to be road rage.

They were traveling down the eastbound lane of I-20, about two miles west of Highway 64, northwest of Canton. Police say 32-year-old Jason Youngblood of Fort worth clipped the car the Sundranis were riding in. It sent their car into the oncoming lane where it was hit by an SUV.

37-year-old Al-Shamshad Sundrani and 13-year-old Tooba Sundrani, both from Dallas, died at the scene.

Youngblood left the scene. He went to Canton and turned himself in. Youngblood was charged with two counts of criminally negligent homicide and three counts of failure to render aid. His bail totals more than $800,000.
