The condition of a Cherokee County volunteer firefighter has worsened from serious to critical.
Kenneth Hancock, 35, was driving to a fire when he was involved in a crash with a train. Hancock was then flown to ETMC in Tyler.
It happened at FM 2064 and FM 2750 shortly after 2:30 yesterday afternoon.
Hancock was the only person inside the New Summerfield Volunteer Fire Department truck. Authorities are investigating how the crash happened.
