Cowboys Defeat Panthers, Still Alive In Playoff Hunt

Going into Saturday's game with the Panthers there were four words that could summarize Dallas' situation: Cowboys need to win.
A win would put them at 9-6 and keep any dreams of a playoff berth alive.
However, the Carolina Panthers were aiming to clinch the NFC South at home.
In the first quarter, Panthers up by a field goal when Jake Delhomme launched one to Drew Carter. A 32 yard touchdown pass.
The Panthers went up 10-0.
Cowboys got some new life on their next drive. Drew Bledsoe rolled out and connected with a streaking Terry Glenn for 51 yard completion.
It would help set up, and eight yard Julius Jones' touchdown run. It was 10-7, Panthers.
Panthers and Cowboys would both tack on field goals.
Dallas had the chance to tie it at 13, but Billy Cundiff's kick was no good. The ball was tipped by Julius Peppers. The Panthers led 13 to 10 at the half.
In the third, Cowboys would take the lead when Julius Jones sprinted on a 44 yard touchdown run. Jones had 194 yards rushing on the day.
Cowboys took the 17-13 lead. Cowboys got a break when the Panthers' Steve Smith was ejected from the game after he touched an official.
However, Dallas' good luck would change when  Jake Delhomme found Ricky Proehl, a 35 yard touchdown pass and Carolina took the 20-17 lead with two and a half minutes left in the game. Cowboys had the chance to tie but Billy Cundiff missed a 33 yard field goal, but Carolina was called for running into the kicker.
It would be a first down for Dallas.
With 25 seconds left in the game, Bledsoe hit Terry Glenn in the endzone for the game winner.
Dallas defeats Carolina 24-20 to remain alive in the playoff hunt.
