Volunteers have been working for months, stuffing handmade Christmas stockings with everything from favorite snacks to warm socks. They are members of The Angels Of Corsicana, a volunteer group founded by Jean and Marvin O'Conner.
The O'Conners began sending packages to military personal two years ago by way of their daughter Janna, an Airforce Flight Engineer who made regular trips to Iraq. At first, the O'Conners paid for everything and asked for nothing. Before long, the community embraced the movement and now, the Angels Of Corsicana support more than 300 troops in Iraq and Afghanastan with their gifts.
Their name, Angels Of Corsicana, was given them by a group of Marines who received their first Christmas stockings.
