Longview Restaurants That Did Poorly On Their Health Inspection

Five Longview area restaurants were hit with the most serious violations in the latest round of inspections including Johnny Carinos Italian at 411 east Loop 281. 8 violations were found in a November 7th inspection, including improper handling of ready to eat foods, cold foods at unsafe temperatures and hygienic violations among employees. They scored a C.

10 violations were found in a November 8th inspection of Chen's Gardens at 1021 McCann Road. Hot and cold foods were at unsafe temperatures, unsanitary food contact surfaces were found, and stored foods were not properly wrapped and protected. They scored a C.

A November 7th inspection found another 10 violations at La Michoacana meat market at 1419 south Green Street. Utensils were not sanitized, hot foods were at improper temperatures and food prep areas were uncleaned. They scored a C.

Popeyes at 2110 Gilmer Road had 8 violations in a November 14th inspection. Stored foods were not properly protected, and hot and cold foods were held at unsafe temperatures. They scored a C.

And 8 violations were found in a November 14th inspection of Amigos Buffett at 2511 Judson Road. There were uncleaned food prep areas, unprotected foods and hygienic violations. They scored a C. All reports are provided by the Longview Environmental Health Department.
