An 18-wheeler crash sends one man to the hospital and shuts down a stretch of Highway 80. Police say just before 10:00 a.m. in White Oak, the driver of an 18-wheel tanker tried to take a turn from Highway 42 onto Highway 80 too fast. The rig flipped on its side. The driver narrowly missed two power poles.
The tanker was filled with oil field saltwater which did not spill, but the roadway was closed down for more than an hour. The driver was hospitalized but is expected to recover. No one else was injured.
