Freedom Fighter: Bud Taylor

"A Day That Will Live In Infamy" is how President Franklin Roosevelt described December 7, 1941. Bud Taylor was aboard the U.S.S. Pennsylvania during the Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor. Although the Pennsylvania received two bomb hits, it didn't sink.
However the damage was enormous. Eight U.S. battle ships, seven smaller ships and 188 aircraft were destroyed. 1,435 Americans died that day. Bud Taylor was not only destined to be part of the beginning of World War Two but also part of the beginning of the end of it. His ship was the second to arrive at Normandy, June 6,1944.
