Big Sandy Playing Well At Right Time

For the second year in-a-row, the Big Sandy Wildcats are deep in the playoffs and positioning themselves as a state champion favorite. They definitely made a statement last Friday night, playing inspired football in beating third-round opponent Dawson 55-0. They've outscored their three playoff opponents by a total of 130 points!  It's a Wildcats team firing on all cylinders at the right time.

"Coaches are putting a good game plan together for them and they're listening," said head coach Scott Callaway.  "They're studying their film and they're going out and applying it to the game and they're flying around and just having a good time right now."

The Wildcats are back in action Friday night in the state quarterfinals against Iola at 8:00 at Bruce Field in Athens.
