Car Bomb Kills Fourth Marine In Iraq

The U-S military says a fourth Marine died yesterday in Iraq when a car bomb exploded about 50 miles west of Baghdad.

Earlier, the military reported three Marines died in a separate roadside bombing near the Iraqi capital.

Elsewhere, U-S and Iraqi forces continue to sweep through an insurgent stronghold near the Syrian border.

Although they've encountered pockets of fierce resistance, the troops have destroyed five unexploded car bombs and killed at least 30 militants.
