If you're a senior who cannot afford Medicare's prescription drug plan, there may be another option at PATH. Every Tuesday, people of all ages line up for the PATH Patient Prescription Assistance Program.
Path works with doctors and pharmaceutical companies to provide free medication to people who cannot afford it.
Dale Lowery is a client, and takes 800 dollars of medication a month.
"If it wasn't for the PATH program, I would either have to do without utilities or groceries, or do without my medications."
PATH workers are encouraging their clients to look closely before joining the new Medicare Prescription Drug Plan. They say some of them could not afford their medication, even with the discounts being offered.
