Iraqi Woman Details Failed Suicide Bomb Plot

Hours after she was captured by security forces, an Iraqi woman has confessed on television to trying to blow herself up at a hotel in Amman. Jordan's deputy prime minister says authorities hope the confession gives some solace to citizens shocked by last week's attacks that killed 57 people.

Looking nervous and upset, the woman detailed the failed attempt on state-run television. The 35-year-old said her husband taught her how to use the explosives-packed belt, which she strapped around her waist.

She described the moment when her husband detonated his own bomb at the Radisson Hotel in Amman. She said, "people fled running and I left running with them."

Authorities say the woman's husband was one of three suicide bombers who carried out the attacks.
