Oliver North

East Texans Against Lawsuit Abuse would like to thank all the many generous sponsors and participants that made "An Evening with Oliver North" such a success - as well as a sell out event.

East Texans Against Lawsuit Abuse was proud to bring this American legend toEast Texas - but we did not do it alone. We would be remiss if we did not give special thanks to Martin Resources, Eastman Chemical, Good Shepherd Medical Center and Merritt Tool.

A very special word of thanks goes to LeTourneau University - the staff as well as the students for all their efforts and many kindnesses. And of course the scores of volunteers that made this event possible.

Col. North is the embodiment of "PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY." A marine for 22 years, recipient of two purple hearts, Silver Star and the Bronze Star for valor, a historic icon, a best selling author and commentator. And his legacy continues. He is the founder of Freedom Alliance, a foundation which provides scholarships for the sons and daughters of service members killed in action. As one marine put it that night, "He's the real deal."

Thank you East Texas. Once again your hospitality and generosity has come through.
