Henderson County Authorities Arrest Smith County Wanted Man

The Henderson County Sheriff's Department arrests a man wanted in Smith County.

Olan Roger Glasscock, 42, was wanted for evading arrest, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of marijuana.

A search for Glasscock had been underway since Friday morning. That's when Tyler DPS tried to pull him over for speeding on Highway 64. He stopped near County Road 210, and ran into the woods. Police and search dogs looked for the man for three hours, but could not find him.

This morning, Smith County Sheriff's Department notified Henderson County that Glasscock was at The Motor Inn on Highway 155 in Lake Palestine.

They asked Henderson County to administer the warrants. Around 11:00 a.m. they found Glasscock with a sawed-off shotgun, which carries an additional charge.

He was with a Tyler woman, Bobbie Craig. She was also arrested for possession of crystal methamphetamines and marijuana.
