More than 130 colleges and universities packed the Oil Palace tonight for the Tyler Area College Fair. The fair gave high school students from around East Texas the opportunity to learn about schools from around the country. Schools like Dartmouth College, Harvard and Tyler's own Texas College. Students and parents say they learned a lot.
"I learned about the different classes you have to take, and the different stuff you need to know in order to prepare you for the classes," said Eldret Spencer, Senior at Robert E. Lee High School.
"I think having so many schools here together at one place helps answer a lot of questions for a lot of people," said Judy Keys, high school parent. The event was free and more than 1,000 people attended.
