Jacksonville Against Kilgore In Key 17-4A Matchup

What can make a rivalry better? How about you throw in two teams jockeying for playoff position?
That was exactly what was on the line in District 17-4A when Jacksonville and Kilgore met.
For these two, it was not enough to go to the playoffs. Both were hoping to seal the second place slot.
Jacksonville would strike first, getting a touchdown in the first putting them up 7-0.
Kilgore would get on the board in the second quarter with a field goal and then add a touchdown to put them up 10-7 at the end of the half.
Kilgore would get another touchdown in the third. Jacksonville was scoreless in the second half. Kilgore goes on to win 17-7.
Both teams entered the game 4-1 in district. Kilgore improves to 5 and 1, Jacksonville drops to 4 and 2. Each of these teams has one more regular season game left.
