Those heading out to Smith County to vote will notice the old punch cards have been replaced with a new-high tech voting system. Smith County has 385 Ivotronic voting terminals. It's a touch screen system which voters say is easy to use, and allows you to review your voting choices.
Voting officials say the new machines are more reliable, and will offer faster returns on election night.
The federal government picked up the $1.36 million price tag for the new machines. Smith county voting officials say the Ivotronic's reliability is worth every penny. It's never lost a vote.
