The 72nd Texas Rose Festival got underway Wednesday night with the traditional Vesper Service at Marvin United Methodist Church.
The event officially begins tomorrow with the ribbon cutting by the Rose Queen, Katherine Claire Noel King. That's at 10 a.m. at the Rose Garden Center in Tyler. The Queen's Tea is Friday at the Rose Garden from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Rose Parade is Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon. It starts on Glenwood Boulevard and Front Street and goes all the way to Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium.
