Fall Family Fun Film Night
As the evenings get cooler and the leaves begin to change colors, Tyler Parks and Recreation Department is offering a night of fun for the whole family on Thursday, Oct. 27.
"Our movies in the park series this year has been so successful, we thought this might be a fun alternative to the typical fall festival," TPRD Manager John Webb said. "Instead of costume contests and door prizes, we're changing the format to something that will be fun for all ages."
Bring the whole family to enjoy popcorn, hot dogs, soft drinks, tons of candy and a movie everyone will enjoy. The highlight of the night will be the showing of the 1995 film "Casper," staring Christina Ricci, Bill Pullman, Cathy Moriarty and Eric Idle. Casper is a supernatural sidekick to a lonely young girl who may be the only human that can confirm that the ghost does indeed exist.
The fun begins at 6 p.m. at Glass Recreation Center, 501 W. 32 nd St. The movie will begin at dark in Woldert Park, adjacent to the Glass Center. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets so you can sit back and enjoy a crisp, cool East Texas fall evening. This event is free and open to the public.
