Hallsville ISD Getting Stricter On Its Drug Testing

The drug testing policy just got tougher at an East Texas school district. Hallsville ISD will now test its middle and high school students for diuretics. Board members say diuretics are used to hide drug use in urine analysis. Any student with a positive analysis will not be allowed to participate in extra- curricular activities. Also, any student who is caught delivering, possessing or selling diuretics will be sent to the alternative campus for 30 days.
