Longview Defeats Lee In Nationally Televised Game

It was an eagerly anticipated battle of two Texas high school football giants.
The defending state champions Robert E. Lee versus district champs the Longview Lobos.
People all over America Thursday, got to see what East Texas high school football is all about. The game was televised on Fox Sports Net.
It was Longview however that would jump to the early lead. The second play of the game, twenty nine seconds into play, Vondrell McGee, the Lobo running back took it in for the touchdown.
Longview would go up 7 to 0.
Longview was up 14 to 0 when they would capitalize off of a Lee fumble. Carlin Freeman dropped back and sent one to tight end Adrian Reese.
That would make it 21 to 0 Longview.
Robert E. Lee would get on the board in the second. Marcus Jackson to Jonathan Williams in the zone for a catch. He kept both feet in bounds at the back of the zone.
It was 28 to 7.
Then with just minutes left before the half, Longview's Carlin Freeman connected with David Robinson, making 35 to 7.
That would be the final score.
