Cowboys Cutting It Close In Every Game

The Dallas Cowboys aren't wondering how different things might have been had Drew Bledsoe completed his fourth-down pass to Terry Glenn in the last two minutes. The Cowboys' 19-3 loss at Oakland was another close game in a season that's seen nothing else so far. Coach Bill Parcells says the 2-2 Cowboys have had chances to win or lose all four. So far, they've split them.

Only five NFC teams have records better than Dallas' 2-2. But three of them are the Cowboys' division rivals-- the 3-0 Washington Redskins and the 3-1 New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cowboys play three of their next four games at home. The Eagles visit Texas Stadium on Sunday, followed by the Giants the week after.

Parcells says there are no serious injuries to report coming out of the Oakland game. But rookie running backs Tyson Thompson and Marion Barber were dressed out Sunday instead of fifth-year veteran Anthony Thomas. Parcells says he's having a hard time finding a role for Thomas. Thompson was used as a relief runner and Barber primarily in third-down situations.
