TITUS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - The Titus County Sheriff's Office has arrested three Omaha residents and one Mount Pleasant resident accused of tampering with a will for financial gain.

Barbara Hightower, 82, and Emerson Justiss, 70, both of Omaha, and David Elmore, 63, of Mount Pleasant, are charged with aggravated perjury and forgery of a financial instrument. Daniel Max Hightower, 58, of Omaha, is charged with forgery of a financial instrument.

Lt. Chris Bragg said the sheriff's office began investigating the quartet at the request of the district attorney's office.

Bragg said they were able to use a will of someone who had just died and tamper with it for their own financial gain.

KLTV has submitted an open records request for probable cause affidavits.
