There is an enormous need for volunteers at the shelter at Maude Cobb Activity Center in Longview. It's at full capacity with 600 evacuees. Those at the shelter tell us, they plan to be full for the next three weeks. Most urgently, they need people who can work eight-hour shifts.
Shari Davidson, a volunteer coordinator with Maude Cobb said, "We're making a plea to employers to donate people for these eight hour shifts we're looking for, and that would be awesome way to contribute to this effort."
