SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - A Tyler man accused of resisting arrest and fighting officers was indicted.

Ronnie Demon Sueing Jr., 20, was indicted by a Smith County Grand Jury on the charges of retaliation and assault of a peace officer, according to judicial records.

Sueing was taken into custody on July 4 after Tyler Police Department officers responded to a disturbance call at the apartment complex in the 2200 block of northwest Loop 323. According to police, Sueing allegedly got into a fight with his girlfriend's family. Officers determined he was intoxicated and attempted to apprehend him.

Sueing allegedly resisted arrest after he was handcuffed, fighting with officers, kicking them and spitting blood at them.

He was later charged with resisting arrest, search or transport; assaulting a peace officer or judge; obstruction or retaliation; and public intoxication. He was booked into the Smith County jail where he was also charged on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon warrant.
