TYLER, TX (KLTV) - A Tyler woman who was wanted by police for hitting an employee with her car has been arrested.
Investigators with the Tyler Police Department identified Quidajean Reanne Crawford, 21, as the suspect who allegedly struck an employee with her car after an altercation. They obtained a warrant for her arrest on Sept. 1. According to judicial records, Crawford was booked into the Smith County Jail on Sept. 2.
She is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to Tyler police, they were dispatched on Aug. 24 to the Family Dollar located at 1403 East Gentry Parkway in response to an aggravated assault. They reported a suspect had gotten into an altercation with an employee in the store. After she left, the employee went outside to obtain her license plate number.
It was at this time that the suspect, who was leaving the parking lot, abruptly circled around and struck the employee with her vehicle, according to the police.
According to police, Crawford originally told investigators that she would turn herself in but on Sept. 1 had yet to do so.
Crawford remains in the Smith County jail. Her bond is set at $250,000.
