LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Texas candidates for the mid-term elections were drumming up support in Longview Sunday.
At the Summit club in Longview, Senate candidate Beto O'Rourke, and U.S. representative candidate Shirley McKeller were greeted by a big crowd on a campaign stop.
The pair is running against Ted Cruz and Louie Gohmert respectively. O'Rourke has represented the Texas 16th in his hometown of El Paso since 2013 and is hoping that prospective new leadership in the mid-terms will catch the imagination of Democrat voters.
O'Rourke will host another town hall meeting Monday morning at the Saint Louis Baptist church in Tyler at 9:30 am.
