LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

The roof of a truck was shredded Wednesday afternoon after it was caught passing under a bridge. No, not that bridge.

The driver said he was following his GPS, headed southbound on Green St. around 1 p.m. Wednesday when he passed under a bridge near Nelson St. and became stuck. The impact with the bridge peeled back much of his truck's roof.

A reporter at the scene said it did not appear as though the truck driver needed any help removing getting out from underneath the bridge, which took around 20 minutes.

The driver said he was disappointed his GPS did not warn him of a "low-hanging bridge", which has become something of a theme with drivers who have become victim of the city's infamous 'Green St. Monster.'
