GUN BARREL CITY,TX (KLTV) - Two people were arrested for methamphetamine possession after being stopped for a traffic violation and littering in Gun Barrel City.
According to Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse, Naomi Butler, 26, of Malakoff and Joshua Fry, 25, of Athens were traveling in the 700 block of South Gun Barrel Lane when they were pulled over for littering and committing a traffic violation.
Hillhouse said both suspects admitted to possessing marijuana. After deputies searched their vehicle they also found a quantity of methamphetamine hidden behind the driver's seat.
Butler admitted to concealing more meth on her person and surrendered it to officers, according to Hillhouse.
Fry and Butler were taken to the Henderson County Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
