One of the most dominating offensive lineman in Texas High School football will be heading out of state for his college ball.
Lufkin's Carl Williams announced on twitter Wednesday afternoon that he would be going to the University of Arkansas.
Williams had 13 D-I offers including Arizona, Arkansas, Houston, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, TCU and Minnesota.
Williams stands tall at 6'4'' and 310 pounds. He was a key role player for Panther's defense that made it to the state quarterfinal last year. Arkansas figures to have a good recruiting pipeline from East Texas with Head Coach Chad Morris and assistant Jeff Traylor being form the area. Earlier this week, Jefferson's T.Q. Jackson also committed to the SEC West school.
The commitment for Williams is verbal and he could change it before officially signing.
