The Heritage Downtown Announces Active Senior Living Day Celebration

Dedicated to providing superior senior living accommodations, TheHeritageDowntown.com is proud to announce the Active Senior Living Day Celebration

Walnut Creek, CA – July 2, 2018 /MarketersMedia/

Despite popular belief, sewing and BINGO aren’t favorite activities among modern seniors. More of the population of individuals over the age of 65 enjoy an active lifestyle than ever before, with favorite activities including things such as bicycling, gardening, tennis, exercise classes, swimming, and golf.

The Heritage Downtown, an active senior community in Walnut Creek has been a long-time supporter of seniors remaining active in their Golden Years. The facility is now leading the way for active senior living in this community by hosting their first-anniversary celebration with Mayor Wedel, which celebrates this active lifestyle.

“This is a very special event for our residents at The Heritage Downtown, and all seniors in the community, as we’ve partnered with Lesher Center for The Arts and Pacific Catch restaurant (along with other restaurants and businesses in Walnut Creek) in offering continued exciting Active senior living events in downtown Walnut Creek,” says Jenny Shively, Community Relations Director.

This first-anniversary celebration is set to take place on July 11, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the beautiful Heritage Downtown Active Living Apartments in downtown Walnut Creek, CA. The event will include residents and their families, along with several community members, such as Mayor Wedel, City Council members, local business representatives and Walnut Creek Chamber Ambassadors. Wine and hor d’ oeuvres from the onsite restaurant, Newton’s, will also be served to those who attend.

“Last year on July 11, 2017, the Mayor of Walnut Creek proclaimed The Heritage Downtown ‘Active Senior Living Day’ at our Ribbon Cutting / Rebranding celebration. “The Heritage Downtown received this proclamation from the Mayor and City of Walnut Creek for our vision and philosophy of providing the highest quality of life for our residents,” says Shively.
