East Texans perform well at National Junior High Rodeo Finals

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

While they did not find their way to the winner's podium, several East Texans were able to compete well enough at the National Junior High Rodeo Finals to help bring the Texas team a first place finish on the team side.

Here are the local results:

Lufkin's Peyton Mathis and Madison Durant finished 4th in the ribbon roping where they got 4th place. Troup's Cooper Parsley finished 8th in Saddle Bronc.  Alto's Landon  Cook got 10th in the same event.  Briley King of Rusk brought home 11th in goat tieing. Central's Kash Martin got 21st in bareback steer.
