More than 1,000 evacuees are still staying in East Texas shelters, hotels, and motels.
In Tyler, more than 170 evacuees are at the Red Cross shelters, while nearly 600 are in local hotels and motels.
In Longview, 50 evacuees are staying at the Red Cross shelter, and more than 260 evacuees in hotels and motels.
Many evacuees have found housing in East Texas, and others are staying with local residents or in private shelters.
