Teenage Evacuee Dies Of Natural Causes

The preliminary cause of death shows the teenage evacuee from New Orleans dying of natural causes.

Thirteen-year-old Kevin Bourdreaux died Saturday after complaining of stomach pains. The Justice of the Peace says Kevin died of a disease called aortic dissection. It's a genetic disease that forms in the heart. Judge Bill Lemmert says a patient would not know if they had it, unless you were looking for it.

"It's a disease that you grow so fast that your organs can't keep up with it and he got a tear in his aorta in his heart and bled," said Judge Bill Lemmert, Smith County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2. Lemmert says it is a rare disease, and that it's not a disease a routine physical would discover.
