GLADEWATER, TX (KLTV) - Organizers of a youth baseball league based in Gladewater have praised their community for helping restock their shelves after thieves broke in and looted their concession stand.

City workers were carrying out regular maintenance tasks at the facility on June 3 when they noticed one of the concession stand windows had been pried open. Wes Teague, vice president of the Gladewater/Union Grove Dixie Baseball Association, said it was the third incident in recent weeks.

The Gladewater-Union Grove Dixie Baseball page posted an update, thank all of those who have donated to the league after news of the break-in spread.

The post reads in part, "This is just a couple of pictures of what has been donated. Several companies and individuals have donated alot more than the pics I have posted," said Jake Carter. "Thank yall so much for helping our league out, we truly appreciate it."

The Gladewater/Union Grove Dixie Baseball Association is now offering a reward for any information leading to the arrest of the person(s) involved in the theft. Teague said more than anything, he hopes someone is caught so they learn a lesson.

"When bad things happen, just push on. Persevere," Teague said of the message he wanted to send to his kids after what happened. "It's just disappointing that a small portion of the community can hurt so many others."

If you have any information about the break-in, you're asked to call the Gladewater Police Department.?
