Marshall man pleads guilty to federal meth crime

MARSHALL, TX (KLTV) - A Marshall man has pleaded guilty to federal charges in connection with methamphetamine distribution in Gregg County.

Federal court records show Delon Jermaine Perkins, 27, entered a plea of guilty in the Tyler federal courthouse on Thursday before Judge Nicole Mitchell. He is charged with possession with intent to distribute meth.

According to the text of the indictment, Perkins distributed 50 grams of meth on Sept. 9, 2016. He faces up to life in prison on the charge.

He was indicted on the charge on Oct. 18.

A sentencing date has not yet been set.
