EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - The work week wraps up on a dry note. There is a small chance for an isolated pop-up shower, but that chance is mainly catered for the afternoon. It will be another hot day. Afternoon highs will peak in the low to mid-90s. The humidity will make it feel much hotter than that. There will be a few extra clouds at the start of the day but expect partly cloudy, and even some mostly sunny skies, by later today.
The weekend will not be much different than what the forecast has shown us for the past few days. Expect mostly sunny skies with a tiny chance for a shower to pop up during the peak heating hours with hot temperatures.
The next seven days features most of the same. Expect mild mornings and hot afternoons. Rain chances will be hard to find, but don't be surprised if a random shower pops up in your area. These pop-up showers are diurnally driven, meaning that daytime heating drives them, and shortly after sunset, they dissipate. The sky will be either mostly sunny or partly cloudy.
